Hello my name is Maria King I am a wife and mother of 5, 3 are still depends on us.. 3years ago after having to close my restaurant that I only had for 2 yrs Maria’s Soul Latin in New Britain CT, I had a massive heart attack and almost lost my life, and since then it’s been all down hill.. my husband works as much as he can but it is not enough. I’m waiting on my disability to get approved, also on the wait list for housing for 2 yrs now. For the last 6 months we was staying with a family member, but that was short lived as I become more depressed due to the situation.. I’ve worked since I was 16 years old and always made things happen for my children, so doing this is so hard for me. Due to medical and mental health I could barely get through the day without having at least one breakdown.. as of today I had to put our things in storage and don’t know where we will be staying going forward! If you know the system there’s not help for big families and we have a service dog that helps me emotionally but most of all helps my girls with the dealing with losing her older sister a few years ago and with what we been going through.. it took EVERYTHING in me to even create this go fund me (crying as I’m typing) but I DON’T know what else to do to get us out this situation… I’m gonna try to find a weekly rate motel that is pet friendly and but it’s been very draining.. having to figure out how we gonna eat out gas in the car and pay for the motel when we find one.. I know a lot of people are going through they own situation BUT if you can find it in your heart to help me and my family out we would forever be grateful ! No amount is to small or big and all will go to finding a permanent place for us!
