Hello friends, my name is Mei and I am fundraising for my dearest friend Maria and her beautiful children. Maria Linares, a single mom of three and recent master’s graduate from Cal State Fullerton who’s dedicated her entire academic and professional career fighting for a better CSU and an equitable higher education for students in California, needs support while searching for work to keep a roof over her family.

For the past several years, she has survived domestic and financial abuse, all while fiercely advocating for systematically marginalized communities and causing good trouble within the CSU system. Now she needs help fighting for the safety and security of her family in covering bills and rent during this pivotal time of transitioning from her positions of employment as a graduate student to the workforce beyond the CSU. Maria has applied for several jobs, has exhausted several options, and is running out of options.

Maria has a huge heart and always gives all of herself to fighting the good fight and showing up for so many students throughout the 23 CSU campuses. She and her family could really use some financial support and peace of mind during this time.
