Dear Community,

I am Maria Camila Betancur , Founder of The Hive Entheogenic Church (The Hive Healing.)

Along the way of my journey of remembrance and self discovery, I learned that it was my purpose to support, hold, and guide others into the center of their being where all the answers lie.

At first I began serving my community out of my home in Miami, Florida where I welcomed all souls in search for something greater. From here I held ceremonies, community building circles, and was in service to all, from our youngest children to our elders, through different modalities. This vision evolved into a dream of opening up a healing space in Austin, Texas that later materialized as The Hive.

Since the beginning of The Hive, we have worked tirelessly to foster a community united by the love of nature and remembrance of our ancestral connection. Our mission has been to create a safe place where people could find peace and refuge, community support, and remember their divinity, reconnecting with the beauty of the world and the universe that surrounds us.

In full pursue and trust of this vision I let go of my career, investing all my financial and physical resources to this project and devoting full time to the building, managing, and creating of what The Hive Healing (The Hive Entheogenic Church) is today, completely devoting myself to service.

As the founder and minister of this sacred space, it is my mission to reimagine what “church” can be. Beyond the confines of organized religion, The Hive is a place of complete inclusivity, where all are welcome regardless of background or belief. It is a place of love, support, and refuge — a true home for those seeking deeper connection and belonging.

Here, we believe that spirituality is not about following a set of rules or doctrines. Rather, it’s about embracing life fully, recognizing the divine in ourselves and each other, and living with love, compassion, and presence. The Hive is a community where you are free to explore your own path, supported by the collective wisdom and care of our team and community. Each person who walks through our doors contributes to the greater whole, and in turn, receives the strength and guidance of the community.

With my love, and wisdom, I am committed in continuing to steward and guide this space that shelters us today as a spiritual refuge where we celebrate the deep connection between this human experience, our spiritual evolution and our faith.
