Help Marcy's Family After Tragic Accident

At 12pm 4/11 in Othello, my aunt and partner were involved in fatal car accident that took his life and put my aunt in the ICU. She sustained numerous lacerations, broken a vertebrae in her neck, broken both legs and pelvis, bleeding in her spleen, broken her arm, so far.

My aunts name is Marcy, raised in the Wenatchee valley. She has 5 children, 4 boys and toddler girl. Marcy is the light in theroom, a beautiful soul and we pray for her recovery to be as smooth as possible.

As our family grapples with the loss of a father and awaiting our aunt to awaken, we find ourselves rallying together to provide for her children. We are inquiring about financial aid through the hospital. She has an extremely long road to recovery, multiple surgeries, and coping with the trauma. We will use these funds to help with groceries, transportation, needs for her and her babies.

We ask for thoughts and prayers for her and our family as we navigate this unimaginable crisis. Thank you

Update 2:30pm: she was taken into surgery at 7:45am and remains there. No news is good news. Her mother remains to be at her side as family filters in and out. The visitor rules of the hospital are very strict, please reach out prior to visiting Marcy is such a loved person and we THANK YOU ALL for your love and support

4/12 Update: Marcy has made it through her second surgery and her prognosis gets better and better as she is a FIGHTER. The doctor updated to say that both her legs and pelvis were crushed in the crash and she will have a long recovery and relearning how to walk again. We are all so very very very grateful to everyone who is able to donate and share to help support her family.

she will go back for another surgery to continue the repairs and I will update again.

4/15 update: Marcy has done her third surgery yesterday but due to low blood pressure, they stopped and will finish repairing her knee tomorrow. She is technically “awake” but is very groggy.

She has feeling in her legs which a very good sign with the neck injury. THANK YOU

Update 4/16: She has made it out of her 4th and, for now, final surgery. She’s been moved out of the ICU!!! Hopefully visiting policy will less strict on another floor but we shall see.

Her next step will be a live in rehab facility to regain use of her lower body, her toughest battle yet.

We have received such an outpouring of support from friends, family, and strangers. There are no words to describe the thankfulness we feel toward everyone. thank you. just… thank you

El 11 de abril a las 12 del mediodía en Othello, mi tía y mi tío sufrieron un accidente automovilístico fatal que le costó la vida y la llevó a la UCI. Sufrió numerosas laceraciones, se fracturó una vértebra cervical, ambas piernas y la pelvis, tiene hemorragia en el bazo y se fracturó un brazo, entre otros problemas.

Mi tía se llama Marcy y creció en el valle de Wenatchee. Tiene cinco hijos: cuatro varones y una niña pequeña. Marcy es la luz de la habitación, un alma hermosa, y oramos para que su recuperación sea lo más fluida posible.

Mientras nuestra familia lidia con la pérdida de un padre y espera el despertar de nuestra tía, nos unimos para mantener a sus hijos. Actualmente no tiene seguro médico y estamos solicitando ayuda financiera a través del hospital. Le espera un largo camino de recuperación, múltiples cirugías y el trauma que está atravesando.

Les pedimos sus pensamientos y oraciones por ella y nuestra familia mientras atravesamos esta crisis inimaginable. Gracias.

2:30pm: La llevaron a cirugía a las 7:45 y permanece allí. Si no hay noticias, son buenas noticias. Su madre permanece a su lado mientras la familia entra y sale. Las normas de visita del hospital son muy estrictas; por favor, comuníquense antes de su visita. Marcy es una persona muy querida y les agradecemos a todos su cariño y apoyo.

4/12: Marcy superó su segunda cirugía y su pronóstico es cada vez mejor, ya que es una luchadora. El médico actualizó la información diciendo que sus piernas y pelvis quedaron aplastadas en el accidente y que tendrá una larga recuperación para volver a aprender a caminar. Estamos muy agradecidos con todos los que pueden donar y compartir para ayudar a su familia. Se someterá a otra cirugía para continuar con las reparaciones y les mantendré informados

4/15 Update: Marcy se sometió a su tercera cirugía ayer, pero debido a la presión arterial baja, la suspendieron y terminarán de repararle la rodilla mañana. Técnicamente está "despierta", pero está muy aturdida. Tiene sensibilidad en las piernas, lo cual es una muy buena señal con una lesión en el cuello. ¡GRACIAS!

4/16: Ha superado su cuarta y, por ahora, última cirugía. ¡Ya la sacaron de la ICU!!! Esperemos que las políticas de visitas sean menos estrictas en otra planta, pero ya veremos. Su próximo paso será una unidad de rehabilitación para recuperar la movilidad de la parte inferior del cuerpo, su batalla más difícil hasta ahora. Hemos recibido un apoyo inmenso de amigos, familiares y desconocidos. No hay palabras para describir la gratitud que sentimos hacia todos. Gracias. Simplemente... gracias.
