Help Manuel and Joshua repair Historic LGBTQ electric box.
Donation protected
The Queer Latinx History electric box on 19th Valencia has been badly tagged on, especially Dulce de Leche’s face and around Jose Sarria. It’s probably a two-day job. At the moment, there is no available funding from Paint the City for repairs. Artist Manuel J. Carmona and Joshua Barry are asking the community of San Francisco for a little bit of money for repairs of this historic art project. The spray-painted graffiti will take fresh layers of paint to cover up, depending on what type of paint the taggers used. It’s important for the LGBTQ community to have spaces like this and to keep them maintained. We’re not asking for much, just $500-$1000 for supplies. Joshua Barry spends most of his time in San Diego now, so it will cover a little bit of travel expenses as well.
