Manny came to the United States alone at age 15, seeking safety from gang violence in his home country of Guatemala. When he arrived, he presented himself to US government authorities and was taken into custody. Since then, Manny has participated in every step of his immigration case, showing incredible resilience and determination to follow US immigration laws and to build a better life.

After five years of hard work and perseverance, Manny is now eligible to apply for his green card. However, he faces a significant barrier: the cost of the required medical exam. He has been out of work during the winter, and recently started a new job. Many needs help to get current on his rent, and to pay for his medical exam, a crucial step to continue his immigration process.
