Hello everyone, we are Khavong Pha and Mang Vang, and we have been married for 19 years. It has always been our dream to have children to grow our family, and so we tried for over 10 years to conceive naturally. Despite from seeking fertility treatment with Western medicine to using herbal medication and spiritual healing, we were not successful at conceiving due to an infertility issue. After much consideration, we opened our hearts to adoption

In 2020, we tried to adopt domestically, and after waiting for two years, we were matched with a birthmother. We were so happy thinking that our dream of growing our family was coming true. We had the baby nursery setup, bought baby clothes and supplies, read up on adoption, and traveled to meet the birthmother in person. When it was weeks away from her due date, our dream was shattered when the birth mother decided not to place her child for adoption. Although heartbroken that the placement failed, we prayed that we will be matched with a birthmother again. A year later, we were matched with another birthmother. Our hearts were broken again when there were no responses from the birthmother after she gave birth. Despite experiencing these two failed placements and grieving over them both, we strongly believe we will be able to adopt children one day to grow our family. To that end, we decided we will adopt internationally from Vietnam. We are currently over halfway through our international adoption journey and we are now waiting to be matched with up to two children. We are looking forward to the day when we travel oversea to complete our adoption and to bring our children home.

To complete our international adoption, there are some remaining adoption fees, as well as, travel and lodging expenses in Vietnam that we will have to pay when we are matched with the children. Therefore, we are fundraising to help pay for the remaining expenses. Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping us fulfill our lifelong dream of becoming parents, and providing the children with unconditional love.
