Help Mama Bear Get Back on the Road

On behalf of my kids' incredible mom, Christine, and her loving husband, Colin, I’m creating this GoFundMe to help them replace Christine’s minivan, which was totaled in a car accident on Monday 4/7.

Thankfully — and with immense relief — Christine walked away from the accident safely. I broke into tears when she called to tell me what had happened. The fear of how quickly life can change hit hard, followed by overwhelming gratitude that she’s okay — and that none of our five kids were in the car with her.

Christine is the matriarch of our blended family — a true mama bear. She cares for everyone around her with an open heart and a fiercely loving presence. She’s the kind of woman who holds everything together while giving so much of herself to others. Asking for help isn’t easy for her — which is why I’m here, asking on her behalf.

While Christine and I are no longer married, we’ve spent years doing the deep work of healing, forgiving, and reimagining what partnership can look like after divorce. Together, we’ve built a co-parenting relationship rooted in mutual love, shared respect, and a strong purpose: to model healthy, kind, and supportive adult relationships for our kids. Colin is like a brother to me, and his kids are loved as if they were my own. We are one big, loving, beautifully blended family doing life — all of its mess and magic — together.

Now it’s our turn to show up for Christine and Colin.
