Recent bad luck for Mallee
Donation protected
UPDATE: Thanks everyone for your generosity! Mallee has been able to buy most of the tools he needs and says thank you for your help getting him back to work. We have now closed this fundraiser to more donations.
Dear Friends. Unfortunately last week Mallee had $5500 worth of tools stolen. This has been a massive blow as Mallee is a second year apprentice and is required to provide all of his own tools.
He got a work loan to purchase the tools, which he has to pay back regardless. Mallee is already struggling financially on an apprentice wage so to find the funds to replace the tools is a big challenge. His work insurance can not cover the loss.
We went searching for the tools in the area they were stolen, and we have waited a week in case some may have turned up - it seems they are gone.
Mallee initially did not want to do a fundraiser as there are lots of bigger problems in the world, however he has a big job starting in two weeks and is feeling stressed about his capacity to keep working.
For those who know and love Mallee, he already has had some big challenges to overcome and has worked hard to get his life on track.
We know it's challenging times for many, however if anyone can assist helping get Mallee back on his feet we would be really grateful. Any contribution will help.
