Hello friends. My name is Dan Stickna, and I’m reaching out to support my in-laws during an incredibly difficult time.

On the evening of Saturday, July 5th, tragedy struck Malika and her family. A fire broke out on the roof of their home and quickly spread into the walls. In a matter of moments, everything changed.

Malika had to act fast. With smoke and flames threatening their safety, she rushed to get her mother and her two young children—just 2 and 7 years old—safely out of the house.

Thanks to her quick thinking, everyone made it out unharmed. But the damage was devastating. The fire department has since declared the house unlivable.

Now, this loving family is left without a place to call home. While they work through insurance and navigate the long road of repairs, they urgently need help securing temporary housing for the next few months.

Malika has always been the one to step up for her family and her community. Now it’s our turn to step up for her.
