Christine and Kenny rushed her to the Phoenix Specialty hospital, where an MRI revealed Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). Despite the hospital being booked solid, the team scheduled urgent surgery because Malibu’s case was so severe. Today, Malibu is recovering from her operation, and the specialty vet is optimistic—she has a 90-95% chance to walk again with physical therapy. It’s heartbreaking for Christine and Kenny to see Malibu alone at the vet; they have never spent a night away from her, but they know she’s in good hands and are doing everything possible to support her recovery.
