Help Make Her Dream Come True: A Scooter for My Brave Niece

My 14-year-old niece is one of the bravest souls I know. Despite being diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma cancer, she has faced every challenge with courage far beyond her years. She's always been passionate about motorcycles — not just as a hobby, but as a dream. While most kids her age are thinking about school dances and weekend sleepovers, she was studying for her theory test and she passed it with flying colors.

She was so excited to begin her practical training — a huge step toward making her dream of riding her very own scooter a reality. But then came the heart-breaking news: her treatment plan, which will last at least five months, will keep her from riding. Between the hospital visits, the fatigue, and the painful side effects, even stepping outside feels like an impossible task most days.

Lately, she’s been losing hope. She's tired. The sparkle in her eyes has dimmed. She’s stopped talking about the future. And that scares her mum more than anything.

As her aunt, I want to do something — anything — to reignite that spark. I want to show her that her dream is still waiting for her. That there's a reason to keep fighting. That life after cancer is worth looking forward to.

That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser: to buy her a used scooter.It doesn’t need to be fancy — just something to remind her that her dream is still alive, just like she is.
