Help Make GSHS After Prom Extravaganza Unforgettable

The Glenwood Springs High School’s Annual After Prom Extravaganza (GSHS/APE) was created years ago to provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free, incredibly fun event for our GSHS students to enjoy immediately following their high school prom.

This year’s junior class has the honor of hosting this year’s extravaganza. But we need help from our community. We are expecting 650 students to attend this highly anticipated, completely free soiree. Once students have left prom and arrived at the high school for the extravaganza, they enjoy an evening of socializing, great food, music, games, entertainment, and incredible prizes. GSHS parent and teacher volunteers step up to do all the event planning and organization. High school parents provide all the event security, act as chaperones, staff the game tables, serve food, set up, clean up after the event, etc. Local businesses and organizations donate funds to enable these activities and great food. Everyone’s hard work and support culminate in an amazing, safe, fun celebration that our students look forward to for months and remember for the rest of their lives.

Last year, this event involved the efforts of over 100 parent volunteers. The cost of food, beverages, casino games, inflatables, karaoke, decorations, prizes, and desserts (including the fabulous chocolate fountain!) was over $10,000. To make this year’s APE a success, we are asking for your support.
