Help make BS3 Daddin' a monthly event!

Hello!
I'm Duncan (pictured below with my son Felix and my business partner Cags) and I'm the founder of BS3 Daddin' which is a a monthly Saturday morning children's (0-5) playgroup in Bristol. Dads can meet up with other dads to hang out, make new friends, and have fun with their kids. We provide breakfast, interactive entertainment, craft activities, books, games and toys in indoor and outdoor environments.

With a limited number of toddler activities at the weekend, and this being the only time that some dads have to spend time with their families, many feel isolated.
We want to be a resource that helps dads to take an active role in their child's development, to build their own self confidence, to learn from each other, and just have fun with their kids.
On a personal level, I started this community as I became a dad in 2021 at the tail end of the pandemic and quickly realised that I had almost no immediately accessible, physical support network (as i'm not native to Bristol). Subsequently, I became quite isolated and desperately wanted to find a way to bond and make friends with other dads in the same area and stage of their life. I knew I wouldn't be the only one feeling this way.

In January 2024, the local community centre (BS3 Community) gave me the opportunity to run two pilot events to test out the demand...
Our first event was in February, and we had over 100 dads with their kids turn up. At our second event in June, we had over 70 dads attend. At each event, we had a questionnaire asking for feedback and the majority of dads said they'd love it to be a monthly event.

So why a Fundraiser??
The next event is booked in for the 28th September 2024 and from this date onwards, it would be great to make this a sustainable monthly event to be funded for the next 6 months, while I research and apply to further funding avenues.
What will your money help me to do??
- It would pay for the venue hire, making it freely accessible to all dads - £300
- To continue to provide a free breakfast to all attendees (pastries, hot drinks, sandwiches, cereals, juice) - £1,800
- To provide an arts and crafts supervisor and materials - £450
- To be able to pay for the interactive entertainment provided by local services, which would alternate monthly between: musicians, authors, magicians, actors and dancers - £480
- Paying a videographer and photographer to document the events - £300
- Volunteer expenses and miscellaneous costs - £170
TOTAL: £3,500
Thank you for coming by to visit and if you aren't able to donate at this time, please feel free to forward this link on to another person who may be able to.
The goal is to expand BS3 Daddin' into the other postcodes of Bristol.
The ULTIMATE goal would be to branch out across the country to collaborate and build a resilient, self confident and active dads group who feel empowered in their child's development by learning from and supporting each other.
Big love,
Duncan x
