This is my oldest sister, Maia. On Saturday March 29th, she had two grand mal seizures. She was brought to the emergency room by ambulance and while in the emergency room, the hospital staff left her alone in her post seizure delirium. She ended up getting up and falling, hitting her head for the third time that day, and loosing two teeth. Maia has been financially responsible for herself, our mom, and her two kids for almost 5 years now. She has been under a lot of stress this last month particularly as the just moved into a new apartment, she had to purchase reliable transportation for them, and starting school on top of it all. Maias body is screaming for a break but with the current economy, it feels impossible. I’m asking today for donations to give Maia some time to recover while she does not have to worry about the next bill due or rent payment.
