Hi! My name is Halle and I started this fundraiser on behave of my friend Mahmoud. He lives in Gaza, where a genocide is actively taking place. There are no jobs and no way to make money. Please read and consider donating. Here is his story in his own words…
My name is Mahmoud. I am a 21-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. ❤️
Before the war began, I had dreams just like any young person my age. I dreamed of going to university, getting an education, and building a better future for myself and my family.
But the war changed everything.
I lost my brother. My father and other members of my family were injured, and our home was destroyed. We were forced to flee from one place to another until we ended up living in a tent on the street, simply trying to survive.
Now, my father urgently needs necessary surgery and medical treatment, but we do not have enough money to pay for his operation and care. We are also struggling to find food, clean water, and medicine.
Winter is coming again, and I am terrified of what will happen to my family in this fragile tent. When the rain comes, we may have nowhere dry or safe to shelter.
Despite everything, I still dream of studying. I hope to continue my university education, even if I have to study through
my phone, so that one day I can build a better future and help my family.
But how can I pay university fees when we do not even have enough food to eat?
I am not asking for a luxurious life. I am asking for a chance to survive, a chance to get my father the treatment he desperately needs, and a chance to continue my education.
Any donation, no matter how small, can help us buy food, water, and medicine, support my father’s urgent surgery, and bring me one step closer to returning to my studies.
If you cannot donate, please share my story with others. Your share could reach someone who is able to help us. Even one share can make a real difference in our lives. ❤️
From Gaza, I am asking you not to forget my family.
Mahmoud
