Spread the Love: Hurricane Melissa Jamaica Relief Fund

My name is Megan and I am from Bella Prāṇa Collective in Tampa, Florida. Marsha Lodge, or as we know her, Maharri, is a dear friend, and we are fundraising for her home country of Jamaica in the rebuilding of her home country. the funds will be used to rebuild villages, provide essential supplies and many other ways listed below in a letter addressed to us from Maharri. In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, our hearts are with the people of Jamaica — from the hills to the coastlines — who are now walking the path of recovery and rebuilding. Many communities have been deeply affected, and the call for unity, love, and support is stronger than ever.

This Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund, initiated by Bella Prana Collective in collaboration with Wellness Rebirth LLC, is a movement of love in action. Our intention is simple yet expansive: to spread the love — supporting those who need it most across multiple areas of recovery.

We are not limiting ourselves to one space or one way of giving. The funds raised will go directly toward:

1. Rebuilding efforts at the Rastafari Indigenous Village, a sacred cultural space dedicated to preserving indigenous wisdom, sustainability, and spiritual heritage.

2. Providing essential supplies and resources to other Rastafari communities and spaces affected by the hurricane.

3. Supporting grassroots organizations like Keep Jamaica Clean, who are on the frontlines of environmental restoration and cleanup.

4. Assisting the Breds Treasure Beach Foundation, working diligently to rebuild two of the hardest-hit towns — Treasure Beach and Black River.

5. Contributing to Farm up Jamaica farming initiatives that are helping Jamaican farmers recover infrastructure, tools, and livelihoods.

Our mission is rooted in Rastafari livity — living in harmony, practicing reciprocity, and embodying love through service. Every contribution, large or small, helps us spread that love further and uplift more lives.
