Help Maggie and Chris Support Their Foster Baby

Life has a way of surprising us in the most beautiful—and challenging—ways. My sister, Maggie, and her family recently stepped up in an incredible way by becoming unexpected foster parents to a precious newborn baby. With no time to prepare, they welcomed this little one with open arms and endless love, knowing that this was the right thing to do.

However, because this was so unexpected, they are not yet set up in the foster care system and are receiving no financial assistance or benefits. As you can imagine, the costs of newborn care—diapers, formula, clothing, medical needs, and so much more—add up quickly. While their hearts are more than ready for this journey, the financial burden is real, and they need a little help to bridge the gap until they receive state support.
