My name is Max, and I’m raising funds for my mom, Maggie, after something devastating happened to her.

Recently, her home was broken into while she was away at a birthday party, and over $45,000 in cash along with thousands of dollars in gold, silver, and jewelry was stolen. In total, the loss is well over $100,000.

While more than $100,000 was taken, we are starting with a goal of $50,000 to help her regain immediate stability and a sense of security.

My mom is in her mid 60s and lives alone. This wasn’t just money. It was her life savings. The experience has completely shaken her sense of safety and stability. She now has to disable her vehicle every night because even her spare keys were taken from the safe.

Since the break in, there have also been multiple attempts to use her identity for fraudulent purchases, including vehicles and loans, which has made the situation even more stressful and urgent.

Unfortunately, after reading the fine print of her insurance coverage for this type of loss it is extremely limited, especially when it comes to cash and certain valuables, so only a small portion of what was taken may be recoverable with risk of losing her coverage if she files a claim.

My mom is one of the most hardworking and giving people I know. She doest have any steady income at all as a commission only realtor in a small town and She’s always been the one helping others, never asking for anything in return. Seeing her go through this has been incredibly difficult.

I’ve had to step away from my own life to be here and help her navigate everything, and I created this fundraiser to help her recover from this unexpected loss and regain a sense of security.
