I’m reaching out to you today to support my dear friend Madi, who recently lost her beloved mom, Schevonne, just a few weeks ago. Schevonne was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, love, and unwavering support.

The profound sorrow and heartbreak that I feel will be a lasting part of my life. Saying goodbye feels like an impossible thing to do, and yet, here I am, trying to find the right words to honor a woman who was more than just a mother — she was a guide, a protector, and the person who loved me most in this world.

Mom, you were the one who taught me what it means to love without condition, to be patient even when it seemed hard, and to always be there for those who need you. You carried wisdom in your eyes and warmth in your touch.

Being a mother is more than just bringing life into this world. It’s about nurturing hearts, lifting spirits, and providing a safe place for dreams to grow. You gave so much of yourself — not just in the way you cared for me, but in the love and kindness you spread to everyone around you. You always opened up your home and loved my friends like they were your own.

When she came to this country with nothing she found a way to provide for our family and build us a loving home. I am so proud of her and all that she accomplished. Mom, you were taken from us too soon, and words do not express how much you will be missed. Until we meet again, I love you. ❤️
