Help Maddie's Family Keep Their Home Safe from Flooding
Donation protected
My friend Maddie is one of the kindest and most selfless people I know. She and her husband, Jake, have always gone out of their way to care for others, especially animals—they currently care for 4 cats, a cornsnake, 3 chinchillas, and 18 rats. But right now, they’re facing a series of challenges that could cost them their home.
2025 has been a year of unexpected expenses for Maddie and her family. First, the wind knocked over their fence. Then their dryer broke. Most recently, heavy rain caused their basement to flood due to a lack of proper drainage around their window wells.
Since then, things have only gotten worse. After a plumber came out to help, they discovered that the irrigation system was leaking, and the sump pump installation required additional electrical work, leading to more unexpected costs. The situation is now urgent, with more flooding from the same window and uncertainty about whether their foundation has been compromised or what other damage may have occurred. They don't know where the water is coming from or how long it will take to find a solution.
Already living paycheck to paycheck, Maddie and her family are in desperate need of help to cover the costs of repairs and prevent further damage to their home. Any contribution would mean the world to them and help ease the burden of these overwhelming expenses.
Thank you for considering helping this wonderful family stay in their home and keep their beloved animals safe.
