He is my godson and son of my dear friend Sara who passed away in 2017.

He is the BEST Yellowstone educational tour guide. The Covid shutdown hurt his business. And now, as he was up and running again, he is shut down by the FLOOD!! MacNeil will use the funds to make refunds for tours that must be

canceled. MacNeil, Yellowstone's private tour guide, needs our help.

Hi, I’m MacNeil Lyons, the proud & humble owner of Yellowstone Insight, a

long-standing, highly-respected, educational private tour operator that leads

day tours into Yellowstone National Park.

 

The catastrophic June 13 flooding in the park’s Northern Range forced our

small business to stop all service. We begin our educational day tours primarily out of Gardiner, Montana, at Yellowstone’s north access gate. That small town

is now completely cut off from Yellowstone because the roads connecting us

to the park were washed out by the high flood waters and major debris flows. These roads will take at least a year to be fully functional again.

 

My friends, family and former guests have encouraged me to create the

Go Fund Me as a way for others to help. The business will have to be closed

for the rest of this year. I will be refunding booked tours for the rest of the year to the tune of … a lot!

 

I hope this crowd source donation will help limit the financial losses as we work through this incredibly stressful and horrible experience.

 

As the business owner, I cannot start a new “9-5 type of job” while I am

managing refunds of our previously booked tours and looking toward future

opportunities to save this well-established small business for continued

high-quality, educational tours inside one of the most amazing places on Earth.

 

With that said, my wife Lucy and 10-year-old daughter Kaia thank you in advance for all the kindness generated through texts, calls, and emails. Thank you for this emergency help to keep us moving forward and provide this amazing and memorable service into the future.
