Help MAB Raise $12,500 for Grocery Gift Cards
Donation protected
Hello Brookline!
Mutual Aid Brookline recently had to pause our grocery gift card program because our funds have greatly diminished. This happened in the midst of sky rocketing requests for this service in the recent month. This increase is due to the recent end of all COVID19 implemented unemployment insurance extensions as well as an increase in people learning about MAB services.
Our requests have doubled since mid-September and we can barely keep up. Mutual Aid Brookline services are IN ADDITION to the Brookline Food Pantry and the recent Farmers Market one-time voucher program. A couple weeks ago MAB paid out more in subsidized groceries and grocery gift cards in one week than EVER BEFORE. The need is not diminishing, it has doubled.
Our goal $12,500 because that is the amount that would reliably get us through 1 month. Please help us sustain this service and keep food on everyone's tables. Thank you for sharing your resources across Brookline.
In solidarity,
Mutual Aid Brookline
