Help Lyric Attend a S.T.E.M. Summer Program!

Hi everyone,

We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping our 9-year-old son, Lyric, attend an incredible S.T.E.M. summer program! Lyric was recently nominated for this fantastic opportunity, and we couldn’t be more proud. This is a huge honor—not only because of how competitive the program is but because only three students from Johnsonville elementary have gone to this program after being nominated in the past, two in 2017 and one in 2022. It would be extremely special for Lyric to be able to attend this program. This program would give Lyric something great to add to his future college applications.

Lyric has always had a huge passion for technology, art, and building things. From the time he could hold a crayon, he’s been drawing and dreaming up characters, stories, and entire worlds. He spends hours designing with LEGOs and other building sets, creating structures and cities straight from his imagination. His biggest dream is to work in computer technology, designing graphics and animations for video games and movies. This summer program would give him hands-on experience with the tools and skills he needs to make that dream a reality!

As a military family, we do our best to provide our kids with as many opportunities as possible. However, supporting a family of five in this economy and with our income makes it difficult to afford specialized programs like this. The tuition and materials for this S.T.E.M. camp are beyond what we can manage, and that’s why we’re asking for your help.

A scholarship would help cover part of the cost, but we still need additional funding to ensure Lyric can attend. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward making this life-changing experience possible for him. Lyric is a bright, creative, and determined kid who deserves this opportunity. We truly appreciate any support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser with others. Thank you for helping us invest in his future!
