"Jesus said to them, YOU FEED THEM"
"Do you love me?...Feed my sheep"
Jesus gave Peter these specific instructions when he visited the apostles after his resurrection. Even before he told them to make disciples of all nations, he told them to feed people. He didn't put income limits, economic limits, or any other limits on his command. He simply said to feed his sheep—any who are hungry.
Genesee County residents have a serious need to be fed. Especially with the likelihood of not receiving benefits soon due to the government shutdown. Regardless of how you feel about EBT recipients or the government or how you personally define need, just know that all Jesus sees is people who are hungry.
Lynch Family Ministries has made a commitment to walk out Jesus' command in light of the current situation. We would like to partner with you to prepare for that commitment. Any money donated will be publicly accounted for on our Facebook page. All proceeds will go to either directly providing food for people who need help or be donated to a trusted local food bank.
We have set the goal so high because the need is so high. Normally, someone organizing something like this would say, "every little bit helps." And that's true. But honestly, we can do better than a little bit. We are asking you to give faithfully, in belief that God will provide. Give abundantly for the benefit of the Kingdom. Give beyond what you think you can give.
Jesus said, "Give and it shall be given unto you. Pressed down, shaken, and pouring over." His word is trustworthy.
