My name is Lydia. I was born in McField District in the Parish of Westmoreland in Jamaica, which has just suffered great Loss from category 5 Hurricane Melissa!

My family are still living there, and they along with the rest of the community of McField and surrounding communities in Westmoreland suffered great loss. They are suffering mentally, physically, and emotionally, not knowing how and where to start to pick up the pieces.

I am here standing in the gap for them and organizing to take non-perishable food items to feed the community and adjoining communities, and that’s one of the greatest needs at this time.

People presently are going without adequate food and shelter, and I promise every dime that is contributed will go towards assisting the people in these communities. I am personally traveling to Jamaica to ensure the distribution goes smoothly.

Funds will be used to purchase food items ,purchase containers to pack the food in, and also to pay to ship it from the US to Jamaica ,as I am residing in the USA.

Please, I am asking for your support in accomplishing this effort to help those in need in a time like this in Westmoreland, Jamaica.
