Luther Farms in Richfield, OH, is facing a heartbreaking loss after a fire destroyed our 90-year-old barn. This barn was much more than just a building—it was the heart of our farm, providing shelter for our animals and storing the hay, feed, and equipment we rely on every day. Thankfully, no animals were lost, but the impact on our daily operations is significant. We are putting together temporary shelter where we can, and any support given is greatly appreciated.
The barn has a unique history—it was originally on the Newton farm where Mount Augustine is now, and in 1950, it was moved across open fields to become part of Luther Farms. This year marks the 125th anniversary of Luther Farms. For generations, we have been a part of the Richfield community, supporting local families and sharing our love of farming. The barn was a symbol of our long history and commitment to the area. Its loss is deeply felt, not just by our family, but by everyone who has visited or worked with us over the years.
We are asking for help to rebuild and recover from this devastating fire. Your support will go directly toward providing safe shelter for our animals, cleanup efforts, and replacing the essential supplies and equipment lost in the fire—including items not covered by insurance. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us continue our legacy and keep Luther Farms a vital part of the Richfield community.
