Help Luke’s family while he is fighting Leukaemia

Luke is a 14 year old boy who was diagnosed with Leukaemia on 15th June. Luke has got Acute Myeloid Leukemia - less than 100 people in the uk get AML each year. There is no cause for AML although it can be triggered by a normal virus, to treat it they need to destroy all the Leukemia cells for the bone marrow to function normally. He is currently in hospital enduring an intense course of chemotherapy for the next 6-8 weeks and that is just the start of a very long journey for Luke and his family.  We are hoping to raise funds to help Luke’s parents with travel, loss of earnings and other expenses to try and take just one of the worries they have ahead of them at this hard time.  Luke was still
turning up to training trying to keep up with his team just 2 days before his diagnosis.  Doctors said he shouldn’t have even been able to walk round the pitch never mind trying to run to keep up with his teammates.  This page is just one way we are trying to help Luke and his family and we hope to arrange other things over the summer to help.  Every penny raised is appreciated so much.
