Luisa and Esteban have been part of our San Diego community for over 30 years, arriving from Mexico to pursue the American Dream. I have known Luisa for over 25 years. Over these many years of dedicated hard work she has helped raise our daughter, kept my house in working order and is currently helping me physically and emotionally with my elderly mother. Luisa is the most hardworking, dedicated, loyal, kind, thoughtful, compassionate, trustworthy person I know. Luisa works tirelessly and continually to support her family for housekeeping wages. Luisa and her husband Esteban have raised 2 wonderful children very much like themselves. Steve their son, was in ROTC at El Camino HS in Oceanside and joined the US Marines when he graduated HS. After completing his tour of duty, Sergeant Steve Rios continues to serve in the active reserves with a goal to join the Sheriff's department. Daughter Ashley recently married a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton and is expecting their first child. Steve was able to sponsor his parents with a temporary work visa and they are awaiting the official green card. This takes many years, and is extremely expensive. They have already invested $30,000 into this process. The ICE detention of Luisa and Estevan is heartbreaking to us and many in our community. I am asking for your support with prayers but they also need help financially through this process. This unnecessary detainment has added an additional burden of lost wages and growing attorney fees. If you could possibly help a little or alot it would be much appreciated by their family. I still have hope that this country is still welcoming to people who are eager to provide honest work and are contributing members of our community. Immigration is a complicated issue but please find it in your heart to help them and I believe you will be blessed.
Thank you for your support of this deserving family!
God Bless You and God Bless America!
