Hello, my name is Luella and I'm fundraising to travel to Costa Rica to volunteer on projects that improve the lives of local Costa Rica residents and the natural world. I have applied to the Costa Rica Spring Break Service Adventure through the Global Leadership Adventures program from April 1, 2024 through April 7, 2024. Here is the link to their website. In this program I will work on a variety of environmental conservation projects alongside a local nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the area’s watersheds and tropical dry forest. My journey will delve deep into the heart of Costa Rican culture, offering immersive learning experiences that will change the course of my life and better the lives of others and the local environment. Your investment will not only give me the opportunity to experience Costa Rican culture through guest speakers, cooking classes and dance workshops, but it will also allow me to participate in over fifteen hours of community service and help me evolve into a global leader of the future. Due to the high cost of international travel and this program’s tuition, I am reaching out to the community to help sponsor me on this life-changing journey. And for me, raising the funds on my own is part of becoming a global leader. If I exceed my financial goal, I will continue raising funds and participate in the Thailand Elephant and Education Initiative through GLA in the summer of 2024.
