Hi,

Lucy sufferered a brain injury as a result of HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy) at birth. She has been diagnosed with Dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy.

We do a couple of hours of therapy daily with Lucy. She also does therapy weekly with a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist.

Lucy has been offered a place at a NAPA intensive in Melbourne at the end of 2023. NAPA is a world famous clinic for the treatment of children with disabilities. Lucy will spend 3 weeks working on Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

We will be able to use NDIS funds to pay for the intensive but our travel and accomodation during our 20 night stay in Melbourne is up to us.

We are asking for support for our travel on the Spirit to and from Melbourne, and our 3 weeks of accomodation in Melbourne. I am taking leave without pay from my job to be able to take Lucy to this therapy intensive.
