Help Lucy and Rosie Make a Difference in Uganda!

We are Lucy and Rosie, two young individuals from a small village in Surrey, about to embark on an incredible journey to Uganda this April!

We are excited to work with the Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation, an organisation that has transformed countless lives in a region still grappling with the effects of poverty.

Founded by the inspiring Peace Nyangoma Ruharuza, Fountain of Peace is not just a charity; it is a lifeline for children like Peace herself, who overcame unimaginable hardships. Her journey from a neglected child to a dedicated advocate for the underprivileged mirrors our belief in the power of education, compassion and community support. Through her childhood experiences, Peace has become a beacon of hope in Kyenjojo, offering opportunities for so many children who find themselves in circumstances similar to hers.

As a child, Peace was sponsored through Compassion, a christ centred charity, which is church driven and child focused, one that our church is closely connected to and supports as a mission partner.

During our visit, we hope to immerse ourselves in the work being done at the Foundation, from supporting educational initiatives to engaging in community outreach programmes. Our goal is to contribute positively and learn from this incredible experience. We want to see firsthand how love and hope can reshape lives and we can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and join in the tireless efforts of the Foundation!

To make this journey possible, we kindly ask for your support. We aim to raise funds to contribute towards our expenses for the trip and to make a donation to Fountain of Peace.
