Lucy and Ana are having triplets! After their marriage in 2021, they worked hard to develop the financial stability to start a family. They felt ready in 2024, did their research on reputable sperm banks in their area, and put the plan in motion with their first ICI in January 2025. Then, a chaotic miracle happened... Lucy got a positive test after their first ever try! She scheduled her first appointment, where she found out they are pregnant with TRIPLETS! Not to mention that they hadn't used any fertility treatments at all to increase their chances of conception or having multiples. The chances of triplets occurring in this way, especially without a family history of multiples is about one in 10,000 pregnancies.

Once the shock wore off a bit, the reality of paying for 3x the babies you saved for, while living in a 2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment and driving a Kia Soul sank in. 

And that's not all. Triplet pregnancies come with a lot of risks. While each baby has their own amniotic sack, babies B and C share a placenta, which increases the risk of uneven nutrient sharing. Lucy is also at a higher risk for gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. The triplets are currently measuring mostly equally, which is fantastic news that hopefully continues as they grow! The doctors anticipate the babies arriving pretty early, anywhere from 28 to 32 weeks gestation. That puts us around late July or early August (meaning they’ll either have 3 more Cancers, or 3 Leos to raise...) to get everything as ready as possible. 

Lucy and Ana are so excited to welcome three babies into the family, but they will need a big village to help with the preparations. Decreasing their financial stress will allow them to focus on the major emotional and physical preparations necessary to bring the triplets into the family.
