Hello everyone, my name is Lucky, and I’m a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University, pursuing a double Degree in Criminal Justice and Communication & Media Studies.
Before moving to the United States, I volunteered in Nigeria with several non-governmental organizations that worked closely with juvenile correctional centers. I saw firsthand how many of those kids weren’t “bad,” just victims of circumstance, poverty, broken homes, or a lack of guidance.
This year, I’m beyond grateful to start something from the heart:
”Hope Beyond Bars- Project 1.0”
Through this initiative, I hope to bring joy, food, music, and love of Christ to children in correctional centers across Nigeria this Christmas. We’re organizing a small celebration with a DJ, meals, drinks, donated clothes, and motivational talks and a prayer and counseling session. This is just a reminder that hope still exists, even behind bars.
These kids deserve to feel seen, valued, and showed loved to, not forgotten. Many of them just need a second chance and a little love to believe in themselves again.
Your donation, whether big or small, will go toward food, clothing, music, and logistics for this event. Together, we can show these kids that their story isn’t over, and brighter days are ahead.
Thank you for helping me make this vision a reality.
