Help Lucid Tuesday Elevate Local EDM Talent
Donation protected
Lucid Tuesday is a Community EDM Show occuring every Tuesday at Crucible Madison that hosts local DJ's as headliners and provides Open Decks for aspiring and current DJ's to test their tracks and mixing skills.
This show is run independently of Crucible Proper, and as such has been providing our own DJ Controller under the auspice of Brooke "8Hertz" Duncan, who previously ran the show for the past years up until recently.
Due to her desire to return to the Music scene, we need to find a new board for Lucid Tuesday that continues to provide professional quality and standards so as to provide both our DJ's and our audience the best possible experience.
The current board that we have been using is a DDJ-RX2, however with the need for a new board, we hope to upgrade as well as provide a serviceable board that we can provide to the community with a "Pay what you can" rental model so that everyone has the capacity to benefit from this largely community-oriented event.
After an initial run for cash, we've managed to accrue 200$ towards a new board, however our goal of a DDJ-RX3 requires 2,099$ total, not including hard-case or cover. We're hoping to raise the additional 2,000$ for not only the board, but a hard-case to allow for transit between shows for aspiring and up-and-coming artists.
Until we can guarantee a new board, we will have to depend on others to loan their board at almost no profit to the owners, and we'd dearly like to avoid that if possible. We're looking to have the community pitch in here for the benefit of all of us.
As stated, this board will primarily be used for the Tuesdays shows that we run, but we aim to also provide this board to others at a pay-what-you-can model to strengthen the community bonds we've already begun developing. If you or anyone you know is able to assist, we would be more than grateful.
