My name is Lucas and I am a 14-year-old son, being raised by a single mom, who just happens to be sick with the odds stacked against her...

My goal is to raise enough money to help with her medical expenses and bills so she can focus on her health and getting better. My hope is if she starts to feel better, then we can start to make memories again. I just want to see her smile again and enjoy life instead of waking up dreading the day...

I just turned 14 and I've offered to get a job to help out, but... she says that's ABSOLUTELY out of the question and what's the most IMPORTANT is for me to just be a kid and to focus on my studies...

My mom applied for Social Security, but she's still waiting on a decision. She hasn't been able to work in over a year due to her medical conditions getting worse with each passing day...

My mom suffers from a TON of medical conditions! She suffers from Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuritis (CIDP), Fibromyalgia, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, Peripheral Neuropathy, Narcolepsy w/Cataplexy, Sjögren's Syndrome, Migraines (chronic), Xerostomia (burning mouth/tongue), Chronic Pain... among others. She gets 2-day IVIG infusions every 3 weeks that shut down her immune system.

My mom means EVERYTHING to me and it breaks my heart to see her struggling every month with the bills piling up and all her medical expenses...

She's had to sell ALL her prized possessions and she's in the process of selling our only vehicle so she can make ends meet...
