Hello! My name is Stewart Rudy. I am a high school English teacher in Hayward, CA. I am raising a small sum of money so that my friend Lucas in rural Namibia can build a proper house for him, his wife, and three children.
Lucas and I met when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia. He is one of the kindest people I know. He is modest and loyal. He is always supportive of others and has a constant spirit of generosity. I will let Lucas tell you more about this project in his words:
Hello, my name is Lukas Shindimba Mbambangandu from Shambyu, Namibia, and I’m a 35-year-old father of three incredible children—two boys and a girl. Last year, I was able to purchase a small piece of land outside of town with the profits from my small business. My wife just got employed last year but she still doesn't qualify for a home loan. Unfortunately, I am currently unemployed, and my family and I are living in my mother’s house, which has become increasingly crowded and difficult for us. I’m reaching out to kind-hearted individuals who might be willing to help us raise funds to build a modest zinc house on our land so that we can move in before the year ends. We've figured out that we can connect to water with the help of local plumbers and use solar panels for power. Having our own home would provide us with the freedom, privacy, and sense of belonging that we long for. My kids are doing great in school, and I want to ensure they grow up in a safe and stable environment.
I wholeheartedly appreciate any donations, prayers, and well wishes that you can contribute to making our dream a reality. Thank you for considering supporting our journey. May God bless you and your family abundantly and may you always find fulfillment in your lives.
