Luba has been a fixture in the Houston music scene for years, known for his Americana sound and regular performances at venues like Cowboy Surfer and The Continental Club. Recently, Luba suffered a major setback when his pedal board, effect pedals, and several personal items were stolen. The stolen gear includes a Sonic Research ST-300 mini tuner, Mooer Trelicopter Tremolo, Dingotone HZD clean boost, MXR Carbon Copy Mini Delay, MXR Phase 95 mini phaser, Live Wire DI Box, Mogami connectors and cables, One Spot 9v power supplies, Sennheiser e835 microphones, and a Warwick Rock Stand 5 guitar folding stand case with "Luba Dvorak & The Brooklyn Twang" stenciled on it. In addition, several personal items were taken. These tools are essential for Luba to perform and continue his work as a musician.
As a fellow band member and friend, I’ve seen firsthand how much Luba relies on this equipment to bring music to the community. Without these items, he’s unable to perform and risks missing out on gigs that are vital to his livelihood. The loss has been a real gut punch, not just for Luba but for everyone who enjoys his music and presence on stage.
We’re reaching out to the Houston Music Community and friends of Luba to help him replace the stolen gear and get back to doing what he loves. Every contribution will go directly toward replacing the equipment and personal items he needs to perform. Your support will help Luba return to the stage and continue sharing his music with all of us.
