Help Lovie Keep Her Childhood Home
Donation protected
Lovie is a passionate and outspoken black woman who is living in a gentrifying neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. Her family has lived there for 2 generations and has experienced the hardship of being Black in an at times unwelcoming and difficult city. She’s trying to hold on to her childhood home after losing both of her parents, but is at risk of losing it due to her circumstances in an unfair inheritance debacle. The trauma of losing ones parents, whom she cared for in their old age, just to be rejected by her distant family as kin, while living alone during the pandemic has not been easy to deal with. She remains hopeful, positive, and driven to keep establishing a business there, and refuses to give up. She is needing some additional help to pay court and real estate bills, and she is hoping to be able to buy the house out if she needs to. She’s a kind and loving friend, an animal lover, and is a pillar of strength in the communities she is a part of. She deserves to keep her home.
