My name is Louis Smith. I am 25 years old and live in Phoenix, Arizona, where I care for my elderly mother who is a widow. My father passed away from cancer in 2017 after serving in the Vietnam War as a medic. Since then, I have done my best to take care of my mom and support our small family.

Over the past year, my life has been turned upside down by a very traumatic and abusive relationship that left me with serious physical injuries, emotional trauma, and major financial hardship. I have been hospitalized multiple times, suffered permanent health issues, and am now dealing with ongoing medical treatment, counseling, and legal costs. I also live with autism (Asperger’s) and ADHD, which has made this situation even harder to navigate. In addition to the medical and legal expenses, there has been significant damage to my mother’s home and vehicle that we are struggling to repair.

I am trying to rebuild my life, protect my family, and heal from what has happened. The funds raised will help cover legal expenses, hospital bills, trauma counseling, prescription glasses, and repairs to our home. Any support means more than words can express.
