Hi, my name is Mary and I'm creating this GoFundMe along with my kids for Louanne Kilmer. Louanne lost her cabin and her SUV due to an electrical fire on May 31, 2026. Louanne and her friend/caregiver were sleeping when the fire broke out and her caregiver was able to get Louanne out. Louanne was transported to a hospital and when firefighters entered the cabin they found the friend and she was transported as well but unfortunately passed away hours later. Louanne remains in the hospital and then will be transferred to a skilled nursing facility. Louanne's cabin is a total loss as well as her SUV. I spoke to her son, Chris today and he informed me that her insurance payout on the cabin is well below what it's going to cost to rebuild along with all the contents inside the home.

I would like to tell you our connection to the Kilmers:

We have been part of the Kilmer family for over 37 years. I was married to Louanne's EX Son in law. Yes, you read that right. After all these years I have stayed in contact with them all but mostly Louanne. If you ask her, I'm her Bonus Daughter and my kids are her Bonus Grandkids. She is very special to me, my kids, and whoever is lucky enough to know her. This woman constantly gives and gives from her heart ❤️ to help her family, friends and even strangers in her community where she used to volunteer. She's no stranger to Marana Unified School District as she retired from there as a dispatcher in the transportation department. Please help in any way you can, even if it's just to share this.
