Help Loris American Legion Post 41 Raise $18,000 for Stolen HVAC

OUR VETERANS HAVE BEEN VICTIMIZED! The American Legion Post 41 in Loris, South Carolina, has been the victim of a theft of the lowest kind. Over the weekend of August 29th to September 1st, thieves targeted our Post and stole our outdoor air conditioning unit for our building. Our Post is a vital gathering place for local veterans, their families, community events, and cornhole tournaments twice a week, which is currently our only source of revenue. Our Legion family includes our Legionnaires, Ladies Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and the American Legion Riders. Without climate control, and with these soaring temperatures, our building may be unusable, halting the essential support services, camaraderie, and community outreach programs we provide to those who served our nation.

Loris, South Carolina, is a small town in the shadows of Myrtle Beach. Our membership is small, and we do our best to serve our veterans, but we don't have the funds to replace the system. Our goal is to raise $18,000 as quickly as possible to purchase and have professionally installed a new commercial HVAC system and invest in security protection so this does not happen again. Every single dollar raised through this campaign will go directly into the official bank account of our Loris American Legion Post.

Because we operate as a 501(c)(19) veterans organization, GoFundMe requires us to run this as an organizational fundraiser rather than a traditional 501(c)(3) charity campaign.
