Help Lori rebuild after Fire loss

Hello – I’m Connie, coordinating this Gofundme for our beloved family member, your friend, a Christian sister, Lori Bishop, has had a recent traumatic life changing event/challenge, as her home of 15 years caught fire and caused massive damage on April 5th, 2024.

There are always things to be thankful for, the blessing within this tragedy is Lori and her room-mate, along with her dog & cat - were not injured in the fire, we praise God for that!

Lori is a very strong and loving woman of Faith, a mother of 3, Grandmother of 8, and great grandmother of 2. Lori’s family is her life passion, she has built close lifelong relationships and lasting memories. Lori demonstrates Love, she has been an ongoing giver and supporter to her entire family and circle of friends.

Over the years, Lori has endured many tough life challenges and has proven the ability to overcome the most difficult of times by leaning on her Faith and with the help of her family/friends. Lori never gives up, she is a fighter and will once again work through a long recovery journey with this current challenge in front of her.

Once the family recently learned that Lori’s Home Insurance coverage was not enough to cover even the professional services of a fire decontamination and cleanup effort, the realization of not having the coverage to repair the significant damages, was very unfortunate and unsettling to us all.

Lori does not have the means to fill in the gap in funds needed, nor can she take on additional debt. Even with some labor help from family & friends, the financial gap is very significant. It is for this reason; we are reaching out for any assistance available for Lori.

The collected funds will go directly toward finding temporary housing for 3-4 months, and with expenses beyond her insurance coverage for the massive decontamination, cleanup and rebuilding of the home to a livable state.

In the short term, Lori has what she needs for physical items while living minimally in a hotel (insurance will not cover a hotel after 05/12/24) and then likely an RV for the next several months.
