Help Lori Rebuild After Devastating House Fire
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
This morning, 11/14, at 4am I received an unexpected call from my ever-so-loving mother, Lori. It wasn’t like her to call at this hour, so I knew something must’ve been very wrong. Turns out, the house that she resided in and raised my two brothers and I in had unexpectedly caught fire and burned to the ground within an hour. Due to the intensity of the blaze, no root cause can be pinpointed thus far. Nothing within her house of 30 years was salvageable. All her clothes, portraits, teaching portfolios, and other various personal belongings were turned to dust.
By the grace of God, this occurred on the one day out of the week where she makes a 3-hour commute to Barbourville, KY, where she teaches at a local college. My brothers and I are all moved out now, so nobody was harmed during the fire. Thankfully, she decided to take her Labrador Retriever, Ally, with her to school this week.
If it means anything, I’ve never been one to ask for donations. We were fortunate enough to have food on the table, a roof over our heads, and family to spend quality time with. She single-handedly put me and my two brothers through college by working her tail off day & night to make sure we’d be able to live life comfortably.
Lori is the sunrise to every dark night. Each day, I question how I was so fortunate to be raised by such a kind-hearted, intelligent, and empathetic woman.
Your donations are not expected by any means, but I thought to share this to the internet in hopes of providing my mom with a little financial support while she goes through this extreme hardship of getting back on her feet.
Every penny means more to my family than you’ll ever know. Thank you all for your time. God Bless!
