Help Loreal Lopez Find Secure Housing

Donation protected
Loreal Lopez  was incarcerated on August 6th of 2020 in the middle of a global health crisis while eight months pregnant. That in and of itself is traumatic. She was not given clear information surrounding her arrest and was forced to be seperated from her family at a vulnerable time. Her father had recently entered the hospital and her 6 year old son depended on her for care.

The Philadelphia Community Bail Fund was able to bail Loreal out on August 24th. But, just within a month, her housing was jeopardized. She almost lost her apartment that she shares with her father and remains on unsteady ground.

Loreal gave birth on September 1st 2020 and now as a single parent of an infant and a six year old, she is looking to raise money for moving costs. She needs a stable home.

Not only is Loreal a single mother, but she is also a caregiver. She supports her mother who is in a nursing home and cares for her father at home. Two of her three brothers are incarcerated. So, she must take on the care of aging parents. Clearly, Loreal's family has been a target for racist over-policing.

Please give what you can to support this young mother who deserves to be in a safe, permanent home.
