Hello, my name is Devyani, but I go by Loki. On May 17th, my mother passed away from stage 4 colon cancer. My mother has always been my rock. She took care of everything we needed, and now that she's gone, my life is in shambles. I love her dearly, but my mother had a serious issue with hoarding. Now, on top of the bills and necessities, we have countless things to fix in the house, assuming we can get back on our feet.

I woke up one day, and my mother was gone. Suddenly, I'm a homeowner to a house that is falling apart, the main breadwinner, and the primary caregiver to my father, who has Dementia. It's overwhelming, but my first priority is just keeping us alive, then catching up on bills, and trying to restore some sense of normalcy to the house. It's been tough getting used to this all, and as it stands, things are unsustainable. Anything at all you can afford to spare helps so much. If you can't afford to help directly, but can share this with others, it's kind of my last resort.
