Cathrine Ji here, the CEO and co-founder of LMNL Space LLC., to share a piece of incredible news with all of you.

Just when all of us were bracing ourselves to close the space we have come to know as LMNL, a space held together with all of your beautiful hearts, the landlord of the building right next door (620 N. Eckhoff St.) has reached out to me to tell me that he would like to lease his building to us. Because he sees how unfair and egregious this situation is…and has thrown us an unexpected lifeline. A lifeline…. From the universe! As if the universe itself has heard all of our voices!

I am in a state of disbelief and full of gratitude. I was ready to walk away with my head held high, with pride, for LMNL has journeyed its own unique path. Never putting profit, even its own financial security, over the lives of humans—the artists who believe in and make sacrifices for their vision and the community that grew devotedly around the multi-layered mission: to support the freedom that is found in art, to make art accessible to as many people as possible, to forge a better world through it, and to realize a true community space. LMNL Space, a mighty believer in our dreams, has done all of that in less than three years!

Now LMNL Space needs your help. The move and the costly renovations, from the reconfiguration of the new space, the flooring, the mirrors, the restoration of restrooms, the overhead fans, painting, and signage, will require sums it can’t afford. LMNL Space will depend on your donations to continue to be here as your community space. Please support this move and the rebuild in whatever capacity you are able to. Any amount will help. And please share this campaign widely.
