Hi, our name is George and Laketha Harris. We are the owners of the L&J Harris Kids Foundation. https://harriskidsfoundation.org/ 

 

We founded the foundation in 2005. It started with a dream to save as many kids as possible by taking them off the streets. These children come from all walks of life, such as broken homes, child abuse, street gangs, etc. It began as a way to introduce kids to Jesus but expanded to much more.

 

Where we offer assistance through our "Annual Back to School Drive." This program provides services, haircuts, bookbags and school supplies, and food in the community for low-income families. To offer a fresh start on the first day of school by building confidence and supplying them with the tools they need.

 

Our vision has expanded to create more visibility in the community. It includes offering more programs throughout the year instead of just once a year. As well as, events centered around "Thanksgiving", "Christmas", "New Year's", and "Easter" In addition, we found a place that the kids can call home located in Monroe, Ga.

 

We are asking for donations; no amount is too small. With your help, L & J Harris Kids Foundation can assist the youth in our community with the tools they need to be successful in school.

 

All of this could not have been possible without our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As well as the annual contributions from the Walton County Fire Department, Mayor John Howard of Monroe, GA, and the Monroe Police Department.

 

Also, we cannot forget the many volunteers who dedicate their time, finances, and assistance to create memorable moments in these children's lives. These memories will last for decades.
