Help Livvy and Her Five Children Move Forward

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns that leave us struggling to catch up. Livvy Kae Bright and her five children are in one of those moments right now, and they need our help to move forward.

In 2020, Livvy moved to a new state 15+ hours away with her husband and 5 children. But just two months after their move, her husband left unexpectedly, taking the only car they had and leaving her to face an overwhelming journey alone. To make matters worse, he has not consistently supported his children, falling behind by tens of thousands of dollars in child support. Livvy is now raising five kids, two of whom have autism, all while juggling two jobs.

Her kids are her world, and she’s doing everything she can to provide for them. But it’s not easy. Their current car barely fits all six of them, and constant repairs are a strain on her already tight budget. Utility shut-offs have become a reality, making it hard for her to balance working and caring for her family.

Livvy's oldest daughter is struggling with depression, and Livvy feels like she’s falling short, unable to provide the basic comforts every child deserves. They’re outgrowing their clothes, and simple joys like Halloween costumes or Christmas presents feel impossible. Despite her best efforts to save, something always comes up—whether it's the car needing repairs, medical expenses, or other unexpected bills.

Her long-term dream is to move back to Arkansas, where she can be closer to her mom, who is now alone after the passing of her husband. Having family support would allow Livvy to work towards better job opportunities and give her children the stability and security they need.

Right now, her most urgent needs are keeping the lights on, putting food on the table, and making sure her car stays running. Livvy isn’t asking for much—just a chance to catch her breath and provide the things her kids need to feel secure and happy.

I chose a hefty goal so that if it were to be met she could move back home to Arkansas, but she will be grateful for any amount that is met!

This amount will help Livvy with:

- Immediate bills and necessities: Keeping utilities on, buying groceries, and covering gas.

- Car repairs or a more reliable vehicle: Ensuring she has safe transportation for her family.

- Children’s needs: Clothing, school supplies, and small comforts like Halloween costumes or Christmas gifts.

- Moving expenses: Contributing toward her goal of relocating to Arkansas for family support and a fresh start.

We’re so quick to donate to charities and causes where we may not know who the money is going to (and that is beautiful) but how often are we given the opportunity to help someone with a truly beautiful spirit, from right here in our hometown who is eager to give her kids a better life?
