Help Little Connor get well ❤️
Donation protected
My name is Kenny Crews (Papa), I am asking for your support for my Grandson Connor and his parents Tommy and Amanda Crews
This issue came to be while Connor sitting in his Mom’s lap, Mom noticed a tiny blemish in the lower left region of his left eye. Days later, Connor had his first dentist appointment to check out his pretty little teeth. With the lighting used for his exam, the blemish in the eye, could be better seen. The following week, Connor had a follow up appointment with his pediatrician. While there, Dad asked the pediatrician to look at his eye and for his thoughts. The pediatrician said he’s sees something there, but wasn’t sure as to what it was, and suggested for us not to sit on this and get to a specialist quickly. Thank God, Connor was able to get to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville Fla the next morning to see Dr. Bansal. Dr. Bansal performed blood testing, sonograms and other optic tests to confirm that Connor is diagnosed with Retinoblastoma and completely blind in his left eye. At that point, Dr. Bansal directed Connor to be seen and begin testing and treatments at Emory Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Dr. Bansal corresponded with Dr. Hubbard of Emory, where he says he will be glad to take our Little Connor. The emotions completely stopped our families world with this diagnosis, as you could imagine. Emory contacted Mom and Dad immediately for scheduling to get Connor to them. Mom and Dad took Connor to Atlanta to meet Dr Hubbard and have him give his assessment and discuss the first steps of the journey for Connor. The following week, Mom and Dad took Connor back for more extensive testing and imaging. During this 2 days of testing, Connor had MRI’s and picture imaging of both eyes. These tests verified that the Retinoblastoma in his left eye, is isolated to the eye, and hasn’t spread to the brain stem nor the optic nerves. The testing also revealed that Connor has a small tumor in his pretty blue right eye as well. The Dr’s feel confident that either cryotherapy or laser therapy will be the best option for the tumor in the right eye forming. The plan for his left eye, is to remove it. Before removing the eye, the Dr would do chemo treatments to kill any rooting from the tumor.
Mom and Dad are completely devastated, as well as the rest of our family, that this innocent little boy is going to undergo everything that lies ahead. Connor will have multiple trips to Atlanta for treatments, testing, checks, etc. Mom and Dad have insurance, but the enormous expense for travel, away from jobs without pay, as well as everything that is going to hit them hard medical bill wise, will be detrimental to them financially. Mom and Dad are very hard workers and do a phenomenal job as parents for Connor.
The love, the prayers and the emotional support that has been given to this family, is absolutely amazing. We thank everyone of you for the blessings. Please continue to help support Little Connor’s journey to become the Healthy and Happy boy that he is and deserves to be.
God bless!
